Collaborate with deans, associate deans, department chairs/heads and faculty.

Oversee recruitment related processes including training, monitoring searches, and hiring of academic faculty to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, rules and regulations regarding employment.

Responsible for supplying administrative support and guidance for Faculty, Coaches, Librarians (Unit R03) as well as academic student employees including Teaching Associates, Graduate Assistants, and Instructional Student Assistants (Unit R11).

Manage academic labor matters including grievances and arbitrations.

Provide compliance and interpretation regarding the CSU-CFA (California Faculty Association) Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

Administer administrative processing for RPT (retention, promotion, and tenure), hires/rehires of Unit 3 and 11 employees, salary adjustments, faculty leaves, Faculty Early Retirement Program (FERP), resignations, etc.
